I'm not sure what it is about me the last couple of days, but it seems as if I've been dealt a very heavy dose of nostalgia. First Lions, Tigers, and Bears and now this; a post about Red Fox Grey Fox (a band that, until recently [sort of] I had been playing in).
Ben and I started Red Fox in 2005. Jeremiah and Stephen joined in and together, we played tons of shows, went on a couple tours, released 3 ep's and a full length, and had more fun than most people will have in a life time. Lately I've really been missing this.
Here we are. Just a bunch of bro brahs hangin' around in Mankato, MN.
One of our favorite places to play is Ed's No Name Bar in Winona, MN. Ed always treats us so well and even though we've had a couple disaster shows there, we always love it.
Despite the fact that most Halloween shows (or any holiday shows for that matter) usually suck, we played a couple of Halloween shows in our day. At this one Ben and I got pretty drunk on root bear schnopps outside of the venue. I was Super Pete.
I had some of the best times of my life playing in that band with those guys and it's been one of the most musically formative experiences of my life. I think we are done making music and I think that's alright.
Oh boy, what a schmoozy post. Alright, I'll get back to posting pictures of my niece and dudes down hill skiing in speedos really soon.

Lions, Tigers, And Bears
Hehe, this is a picture of a band I played in whilst in college; Lions, Tigers, and Bears. This is kinda how I first met Kyle Frenette from Amble Down Records.
Daniel and I came to Eau Claire, WI to see a friend's hardcore band play. We brought the ep we recorded and actually sold or gave one to Kyle. Then we came to Chippewa Falls to play the above shown show with Kyle's old band. From then on Kyle and I kept in touch for a long time. Then Amble Down, then We Are The Willows, then high fives, then the goonies.

Sweet Moses In A Basket Raft
As I mentioned in the previous post, I joined Carinthia for their/his cd release show. Mr. Daniel Jorgensen is the man behind the project. He spent a deal over 2 years writing and recording his songs and finally has this album to show for it.
He played with a string quartet and two bro-homies playing guitars, keys, and even a big marching drum. The set was really beautiful. I'm real proud of Daniel. Few people are as skilled and talented when it comes to playing music.

Activities
The band will be playing my good friend Daniel's (Carinthia) cd release show on Friday at the Varsity Theater. Dan has been working on this album for a very long time and it is incredibly beautiful.
I will be playing songs for and showing slides to my grandparents and their cronies at their old folks home tomorrow. I'm super nervous about playing for them. I hope I make them respond like this...
